Yesterday was a crazy morning. Below was my itinerary:
7:00 - Kids Hope Prayer
8:00 - Kids Hope at Swayzee
9:00 - Watch Jaden's class swim at OHS
10:00 - Read to Jaden's class
10:30 - Read to Tegan's class
10:50 - Lunch with Tegan
11:10 - Recess with Tegan
11:20 - Lunch with Jaden
After lunch I had planned on going to work, but all morning it had been snowing. The snow was building up, approximately 4-6 inches. After reading to Jaden's class I learned that school was going to have an early dismissal due to the weather. I decided after driving back home that I would take the rest of the day off from work and play with the kids in the snow when they got home.
We shoveled the sidewalks and then got out the saucer sleds. Jaden & Tegan enjoyed being pulled around. I love hearing them laugh. The snow was very fluffy, so it wasn't good for building snowmen or forts. Instead, we left no snowflake in our back yard unturned.
The neighbor kids from across the street (Jacob & Noah) came over and played for awhile. It was all worth staying home.
This morning I left for work knowing that the kids had a 2-hour delay. It eventually turned into a cancellation due to the wind chill factor. The current temp as I type this is 4 degrees below zero with a wind chill of 25 degrees below zero. Brrr. So now, I am working on catching up with a variety of small jobs and staying warm.
